ACT Psychological and Counselling Services (ACT Counselling) primary goal is to provide guidance to people who live in Canberra and the surrounding region.
We assist you to cope with life's challenges.
Whether you are feeling depressed, anxious, stressed, burnt out, confused, lacking in motivation, grieving over the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a job or an opportunity; whatever your issue, ACT Counselling can support you in finding a path forward to regain control over your life's direction.
ACT Counselling's registered psychologist can assist you in identifying barriers which may be preventing you from moving forward.
Using evidence-based techniques, ACT Counselling helps you to clarify your values and recognise your strengths (we all have some!). You will be guided on how to use those strengths to make positive steps towards your personal goals.
You'll be surprised how much one small change can make.
ACT Counselling offers Medicare rebates (with your Mental Health Care Plan) for those referred by their GP, private self-referrals, sessions for Individuals and Couples.
Please note that this practice is now part-time and there may be delays in responding to enquiries.
ACT Counselling runs occasional group workshops and has handed over the DBT workshop program to BPD Awareness ACT:
